Just add it to boiling water and you’ve got a delicious and simple soup at lunchtime. Stir a little into melted butter to glaze peas or summer turnips, or even cooked radishes. Or make this kid-pleasing dip that makes vegetables disappear!

Miso Sesame Dip

You can make this dip with any miso but my favourite is Shiro or white miso. Find it at your local natural foods store!

1/4 cup Shiro Miso or other light Miso
1/4 cup Honey
1 tablespoon Cider or Rice Vinegar
2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil

1/4 cup Sesame Seeds, toasted
An assortment of cut Vegetables: Carrots, Red or Green Cabbage, Cucumber, Peppers, Turnip, Peas, Broccoli, Cauliflower or whatever you can dream up

Whisk together the miso and honey until smooth, then whisk in the remaining ingredients. You can add the sesame seeds directly to the dip or serve them in a separate bowl. They’ll stick to a dipped vegetable like Lik-M-Aid.
